    Blessing of the Boats

    RNLI Lifeboat Station, Lyme Regis

    Annual interdenominational service at the RNLI Lifeboat Station acknowledging lives lost at sea and blessing all who work at sea. Music by Lyme Regis Town Band and Lyme Bay Moonrakers; wreaths laid at sea by lifeboat crew.

    Annual festival at Lyme Regis Football Club's Davey Fort ground with live music, local sausages, craft ciders and food vendors. Adults £5, Under-16s £3.

    Lyme Morris Day of Dance

    Marine Parade, Lyme Regis

    Over 400 dancers and musicians from morris sides across the South West perform along Marine Parade. Hosted by Lyme Morris in their iconic white, green and top-hat livery.

    Somers Day Parade

    Annual parade organised by the Lyme Regis and St George's Twinning Association to commemorate Admiral Sir George Somers, founder of Bermuda. Dignitaries from Bermuda join the procession through Langmoor Gardens to the Cobb.

    Celebrating the area's history and heritage... Used to be West Bay Day but 2026 marks the move to a full weekend of family entertainment. Barbeques, live bands, bar, pirate games and fireworks 10pm Sunday night. A 20 minute drive east from Lyme.

    Lyme Regis Bonfire Night Fireworks Display

    Annual free fireworks display from The Cobb with a bonfire on the beach if weather permits. Organised by Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival team. Cash donations encouraged.

    Remembrance Sunday Events

    St Michael's Church, Lyme Regis

    Annual Remembrance Sunday parade through town (9:30am) and memorial service at St Michael's Church (10am). Then gather at the clock tower at 10:50 for a two minute silence.

    Lyme Regis Christmas Lights Switch On

    Broad Street, Lyme Regis

    Annual event marking the start of the festive season in Lyme Regis. Santa arrives on his sleigh to switch on the town's Christmas lights.

    Lyme Regis Baptist Church, Lyme Regis

    Free festival in the Baptist Church Pine Hall where local groups, organisations and businesses decorate Christmas trees. Musical entertainment throughout.

    The Big Christmas Weekend

    Various locations, Lyme Regis

    Town-wide Christmas celebration with Christmas Tree Festival, Santa's Grotto, makers markets, best-dressed window competition and entertainment. Organised by Lyme Regis Business Association.

    Carols Round the Tree

    Broad Street, Lyme Regis

    Annual community carol singing event organised by Rotary Club of Lyme Regis around the Christmas tree at the bottom of Broad Street. Music by Lyme Regis Town Band.

    New Year's Day Duck Race 2027

    Hundreds of numbered toy ducks released into the River Lym at Windsor Terrace on New Year's Day, racing to Jordan Flats. Raises funds for Lyme Regis Christmas Lights.
