Boat Building Academy Annual Open Day
Free behind-the-scenes look at traditional boatbuilding in action with student boats and furniture on display at Monmouth Beach.

Lyme Regis Sausage & Cider Festival

Annual parade organised by the Lyme Regis and St George's Twinning Association to commemorate Admiral Sir George Somers, founder of Bermuda. Dignitaries from Bermuda join the procession through Langmoor Gardens to the Cobb.

Celebrating the area's history and heritage... Used to be West Bay Day but 2026 marks the move to a full weekend of family entertainment. Barbeques, live bands, bar, pirate games and fireworks 10pm Sunday night. A 20 minute drive east from Lyme.
The spectacular finale of Carnival Week: a colourful procession with music, dance and entertainment from Holmbush Car Park down Broad Street and along Marine Parade to the Cobb.

Jurassic Fields Music Festival
Three-day family-friendly music festival at West Bay Fields near Broomhill Farm, Bridport. 11th edition of established West Dorset festival.
One of the town's biggest summer events. A full week of family fun, games, entertainment and displays raising funds for the RNLI. Features the Red Arrows display, Bathtub Race, swimming challenges and crab fishing competition.

Bridport Torchlight Procession
Magical torchlight walk from Bridport Town Centre to West Bay with 1500 blazing torches, culminating in bonfire and fireworks on East Beach.
One of the South West's premier agricultural shows at the West Bay Showground in Bridport. Livestock, horses, homecrafts, horticulture and over 400 trade stands.

Sidmouth Airshow: The Red Arrows
Sidmouth is a half hour drive West if you're a fan of air displays and fancy a day-trip. The Red Arrows will be returning as part of the Sidmouth Regatta Weekend. Display time to be confirmed.

Lyme Regis Bonfire Night Fireworks Display
Annual free fireworks display from The Cobb with a bonfire on the beach if weather permits. Organised by Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival team. Cash donations encouraged.
Annual Remembrance Sunday parade through town (9:30am) and memorial service at St Michael's Church (10am). Then gather at the clock tower at 10:50 for a two minute silence.
Lyme Regis Christmas Lights Switch On
Annual event marking the start of the festive season in Lyme Regis. Santa arrives on his sleigh to switch on the town's Christmas lights.

Free festival in the Baptist Church Pine Hall where local groups, organisations and businesses decorate Christmas trees. Musical entertainment throughout.

Hundreds of numbered toy ducks released into the River Lym at Windsor Terrace on New Year's Day, racing to Jordan Flats. Raises funds for Lyme Regis Christmas Lights.
